We are pleased to offer Hubbard slow-growing table birds, ideal for customers looking to rear their own meat birds in a more natural, welfare-focused system.

 Unlike fast-growing commercial broilers, these birds develop at a steadier, healthier rate, making them well suited to:

• Small-scale and back garden setups
• Self-sufficient households
• Customers prioritising bird welfare and ethical meat production 

These birds perform exceptionally well in grass-based, open pen systems, allowing them to forage, move freely, and grow as intended. This results in a more traditional bird with improved texture and overall quality.

Pricing (Minimum Order: 10 Birds)

• 10 birds – £40 (£4 per bird)
• 20 birds – £70 (£3.50 per bird)
• 30 birds – £100 (£3.33 per bird)
• 40 birds – £125 (£3.13 per bird)
• 50 birds – £150 (£3 per bird)

Growing Options

Chicks will be available throughout the growing period, with pricing adjusted weekly:

• Starting price as above
• +£1 per bird, per additional week of age

All birds are:

• Grass reared
• Raised in open pens
• Managed with a strong focus on welfare and steady growth 

Finished Birds

• Available at 12 weeks old (weight 2-2.5kgs) 
• £25 plus per bird- depending upon weight (live or prepared) £3-£5 prep fee
• A separate listing will be available closer to the time
